One year ago Rabbanit Elisheva started the very first Tea and Torah with the vision of bringing the women of the community together. After 12 months and 12 fully sponsored teas, the women celebrated the first anniversary!
Each tea was centered around a specific theme! The women enjoyed many delightful treats from a Filipino Meriyenda themed tea, to a British Afternoon Tea!
Some tea's were centered around a holiday. On Tu B'Shvat the women painted plant pots and planted their own trees to watch them sprout.
The women also had a Challah braiding class and learned to braid a traditional braided challah, a round challah and a small bird.
Two teas were centered around an Israeli Dance workshop which the women very much enjoyed.
In another workshop the women learned how to make natural skincare products using Aloe vera, Honey and essential oils.
During the anniversary the women had cocktails and the food highlights from the year which included; Scones, Lemon Squares, Quiche and much more!
The women of the community owe a great thanks to Rabbanit Elisheva for bringing them closer together and for creating a space for women to learn Torah and spend time together outside of Shabbat and holidays.
