On December 10th, the 4th night of Hanukkah the community came together to celebrate the festival of lights.
Over 90 community members with their children were in attendance. The Library was used as an arts and crafts area where children were able to make their own dreidels, Hanukkah decor and Sufganiyot.
In the Social Hall parents were able to chat with each other and enjoy light snacks, drinks and beer. Children were also able to play Hanukkah themed games including longest dreidel spinning.
At around 6PM, Rabbi Jonathan Goldschmidt, President of The Jewish Association of The Philippines Salito Malca and esteemed member David Elefant lit menorahs for the community.
Rabbi Jonathan Goldschmidt lit a menorah donated to The Jewish Association by The
Embassy of Israel.
President Salito Malca lit a menorah donated by the IDF which was given to the syangogue during the joint relief operations when Typhoon Yolada, International name Haiyan devestated the southern portions of The Philippines.
David Elefant lit a menorah donated to our community by Golda Meir when she visited The Philippines as Foreign Minister in 1962.
